Australia’s largest comedy event rolled into Exmouth on Tuesday, 2 June 2026, delivering an evening of unforgettable side-splitting laughter and top-tier wit to a packed crowd of 200 locals.

Returning to Exmouth for the third consecutive year, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow brought its world-class line-up of international, established, and emerging comedic talent to the region.

Following on the back of an outstanding 800 shows in Melbourne, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow hits the Australian circuit, bringing one of the largest comedy shows in the world to thousands of Australians across 80 locations.

Hosted by the hilarious Dilruk Jayasinha, the Exmouth showcase starred comedians Con Coutis, Kate Dolan, Kuah Jenhan and Maddy Weeks, nationally and internationally acclaimed comedians whose material is guaranteed to make you laugh during live stand-up performances.

The Roadshow makes Melbourne International Comedy Festival a year-round commitment to deliver the art of laughter to as many audiences as possible, including Exmouth’s remote corner of Western Australia. The Shire of Exmouth is thrilled to deliver this event once again to our community and facilitate the belief that there should be no barriers to a good laugh.

Shire President Matt Niikkula said:

“The return of this nationally acclaimed comedy show is a true testament to our dedication to ensuring Exmouth is not left out of the cultural scene that other metropolitan areas experience regularly. We are committed to delivering quality community events to improve the value of living and visiting our area. It is fantastic to see the community connecting over laughter, and we are happy to see the value of this event reflected in the high attendance each year.”

No one is exempt from finding their funny bone in this tour, journeying across the nation to deliver an event otherwise only accessible to experience in metropolitan areas, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow ensures that regional communities can experience the same cultural enrichment and chance to connect over a good laugh as audiences in any city.

The event was hosted within the Mandu Function Room, a premier space that brings high-quality events to the Exmouth community despite its isolated location. The evening was complemented by local catering provided by Froth Craft Brewery. The diverse facilities within the Ningaloo Centre enable the Shire to deliver on the Strategic Community Plan 2023-2033 commitment to foster community connection and improve local and visitor experiences.

Challenges for the Exmouth community over the last few months bring more value and meaning to this year’s event. Ultimately, a ticket was worth more than just a night of laughter; it provided a vital opportunity to connect with friends and foster positive wellbeing impacts for the community through shared memories, cultural experiences and an event of global standing.
