Sporting Clubs & Community Organisations

BHP Partnership

The Shire of Exmouth is proud to partner with BHP to build strong and sustainable sporting clubs and community organisations.

The partnership between the Shire and BHP aims to address the many challenges faced by sporting clubs and community groups in Exmouth.  BHP's $225,000 funding commitment allows the Shire to implement a three year program to build stronger and more sustainable community organisations and open doors to provide access to regional competition and skill development opportunities.

A number of activities will be implemented during the three year program including:

  • workshops to improve governance and sustainability
  • skill development opportunities
  • a facilities audit to prioritise the maintenance and improvement of local sporting and community facilities
  • assistance to attract regional competition to Exmouth
