Public Notice: Road Closures Affecting Exmouth Region

Defence will be conducting emergency maintenance repairs to Defence capability infrastructure within the Shire of Exmouth on Friday 7 August 2026.

During this period, Murat Road will be closed and the public will be unable to access Bundegi Beach and the Bundegi Boat ramp. Defence is working with the Shire of Exmouth and coordinating a traffic control management plan to assist with managing public access to the area during this period.

ROAD CLOSURE: Murat Road (at the intersection of Yardie Creek Road), Exmouth, Western Australia
DATE: Friday 7 August 2026
TIME: 6:00am – 4:00pm

The road closure is necessary for these maintenance works to be undertaken and will remain in place during the aforementioned period to ensure the safety of the local community. Defence thanks the community for their support and understanding during the short restricted access period, while the maintenance works are conducted.
