Notice is hereby given that the Shire of Exmouth is reviewing the following local laws as amended:


Proposed Shire of Exmouth Cemetery Local Law 2026
The Purpose
The purpose of the local law is to manage public cemeteries in an orderly manner in accordance with established plans and to create offences for bad or inappropriate behaviour within cemetery grounds.


The Effect

The effect of this local law is that all persons in the administration of the cemetery, burying deceased in the cemetery, or otherwise providing services to or making use of the cemetery, are to comply with the provisions of this local law.


Proposed Shire of Exmouth Fencing Local Law 2026
The Purpose
The purpose of the proposed review of the Shire of Exmouth Fencing Local Law 2026 is to prescribe a sufficient fence and the standard for construction of fences throughout the district and to establish penalties for prescribed offences.


The Effect
The effect of the proposed review of the Shire of Exmouth Fencing Local Law 2026 is to establish the minimum requirements for fencing withing the district.


Proposed Shire of Exmouth Dog Local Law 2026
The Purpose
The purpose of the proposed Dog Local Law 2026 is to make provisions about the confinement of dogs, control the number of dogs that can be kept on a premises in the district, regulate kennel establishments, and to require removal of dog excreta.


The Effect
The effect of the proposed Dog Local Law 2026 is to establish mandatory requirements for property owners and occupiers to comply with in order to keep dogs, providing local enforcement and penalties (such as fines) for violations.


A copy of the proposed local law may be inspected at the Shire Administration office or Library located in the Ningaloo Centre at 2 Truscott Crescent Exmouth, between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.


A copy will also be available from the Shire of Exmouth website www.exmouth.wa.gov.au
