Public Notice: PROPOSED LOCAL LAW - EXMOUTH MARINA VILLAGE LOCAL LAW 2025

In accordance with section 3.12(3) of the Local Government Act 1995, public notice is hereby given that the Shire of Exmouth proposes to make the Exmouth Marina Village Local Law 2025.
The purpose of the proposed local law is to regulate the care, control, and use of jetties, moorings, and waterways within the Exmouth Marina Village.
The effect of the proposed local law is to:
• Control activities on jetties and waterways;
• Regulate the mooring of vessels, including mooring lines, equipment, and requirements during cyclone season;
• Outline responsibilities for canal maintenance;
• Establish offences, penalties, and liability for repairs and associated costs.

Alternatively, the proposed local law is available for inspection at the Shire Administration and Library, located 2 Truscott Crescent, Exmouth during office hours.
Submissions may be made to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Exmouth, before close of business on Wednesday 18 March 2026 and can be emailed to info@exmouth.wa.gov.au
