Anything more than $80 will be deposited directly into your bank account via your Scheme ID, so make sure you sign up for one today!
How does it work?
COLLECT ELIGIBLE CONTAINERS
Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard drink containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible.
The Shire Depot and Shire Office provides re-usable "can bags" for you free of charge.
TAKE YOUR ELIGIBLE CONTAINERS TO THE LOCAL MOBILE COLLECTION POINT AT INGRAM STREET
- Make sure containers are CLEAN and cleared of any contamination. Contamination includes: sand, cigarette butts, sharps and lemon/lime, plus much more.
- Sort and count your containers before into their types (glass, aluminium, plastic etc) as this will assist in processing your containers quicker.
- Be nice – the ABC Foundation and the Freemasons are just starting out, so please be patient
If you would like to bag up your containers for us to count and process later so you don’t have to wait, just make sure to mark your bag clearly with your Scheme ID, Full Name and Contact Number. Alternatively, put your details on paper inside a sealed plastic sleeve and pop that in your bag.
EARN A REFUND OR DONATE
You’ll receive 10 cents for every eligible container you return which you can keep or donate.
