EXMOUTH COMMUNITY WELCOMES FOUR NEW AUSTRALIANS

In a heartwarming ceremony held at the Ningaloo Centre, Shire President Darlene Allston officiated the event, granting citizenship to four community members on 21 September 2023.

The atmosphere was brimming with joy and pride as the conferees from the Philippines and Brazil took their oath, marking the beginning of their journey as Australian Citizens.

The ceremony also served as a poignant reminder of the opportunities and privileges that come with Australian citizenship. As these individuals embark on this new chapter of their lives, they have access to a wide range of benefits, including voting rights, social welfare support, and the ability to travel on an Australian passport. But beyond the bureaucratic advantages, the true essence of becoming an Australian citizen lies in the connections formed, the sense of belonging fostered within the community and the warm embrace that Exmouth offers to its newcomers.
