Tidy Towns

Exmouth won Tidiest town in the Pilbara in 2014 and also won the STATE “Young Legends” category with our Youth Action Exmouth (YAE) program.

Next year we want to build on this to become the Tidiest town in the State!

Why should we do Tidy Towns:

  • Overall Promotion of the Town
  • For Exmouth to achieve sustainability not just economically but socially and environmentally as well
  • Sense of belonging in the community
  • Sense of pride for our community and our town
  • Opportunity to make new and build on existing partnerships
  • Opportunity for people/groups of people doing great things to be recognised!

What is Tidy Towns:

Tidy Towns is an annually run competition whereby towns submit projects, initiatives or programs that have either been planned, carried out or completed within the period from June 2014 to May 2015. There are 8 categories of which at least one project must be submitted for each:

  • General Appearance
  • Community Action & Partnerships
  • Heritage & Culture
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Water Conservation
  • Waste Management & Litter Prevention
  • Environment Conservation
