The Shire of Exmouth approved the amnesty for the waste site for residents to dispose of goods that would pose a risk during a cyclone.  The amnesty will run over two consecutive Saturdays being 7th and 14th December 2019 to assure all residents can prepare accordingly for cyclone season.

If residents are not capable of removing their goods to the waste site and intend to engage a contractor to undertake the disposal, they are requested to contact the Supervisor Civil & Waste, Luke Meldrum on 9949 3081 to provide details to ensure that no ‘on-charging of waste disposal will occur’.

To ensure the success of the amnesty, please adhere to the following guidelines: 

  • Included are ‘RESIDENTIAL GENERAL WASTE’ and ‘METAL SCRAPS’ only
  • All waste oil, steel drums not cleaned and/or lids not removed, tyres, special burials such as asbestos, batteries, refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners where gas has not been reclaimed for domestic properties will remain in accordance with the 2019/20 Schedule of Fees and Charges.
