DIVE IN MOVIES BACK AT THE PALTRIDGE MEMORIAL SWIMMING POOL

Those looking for things to do over summer can look forward to two  "Dive-In" Movies at the Paltridge Memorial Swimming Pool in February and March.

The family-focused events are relaunched after being on hiatus for nearly five years. The Shire of Exmouth is keen to see families enjoying the revived screenings, community participation and feedback are essential to plan and deliver additional screenings during the next pool season.

While the movie showings are focused on the age group of 8-14 years, friends and families are welcome to bring a picnic blanket and a picnic hamper with them on the night to enjoy the outdoor movies.

However, Council asks to be mindful that there is no alcohol brought inside the pool precinct as the Shire of Exmouth "Dive In" Movies are fully-supervised drug, alcohol and smoke-free events.

The first movies to screen are "Raya and the last Dragon" (Friday, 25 February 2022) and "How to Train your Dragon - The Hidden World (Saturday, 12 March 2022), with gates opening at 6.30 PM.

The initiative is relaunched to create more safe social spaces for children in our community, and Council is very excited to have this outdoor event revived. “

“’The pool precinct is a great space to encourage families to gather and spend quality time together, Council strongly encourages our community and visitors to grab their family or a couple of friends to enjoy an evening out at the movies; the more, the merrier.”
