Wapet Creek

36 kilometres south of Exmouth on the Exmouth/Minilya Road.
Good fishing and crabbing. (Beware: Stonefish inhabit this creek. Wear heavy footwear and shuffle along if wading through the creek.)

Learmonth Jetty

33 kilometres south of Exmouth on the Exmouth/Minilya Road.
Prawn trawlers refuel at jetty. Good fishing for bream, mackerel, whiting and queenfish on incoming/high tide. Beach fishing, safe swimming.

Exmouth Pearls

32 kilometres south of Exmouth on the Exmouth Minilya Road.
Originally this was Nor-West Seafoods prawn factory. Six prawn trawlers operated from this site, catching some 270,000 kilograms of prawns annually. This operation was transferred to Carnarvon in 1994.
In 1995 M G Kailis secured a pearling lease in Exmouth Gulf and established a pearl hatchery and base on this site. This site is not open to the public.

Prawn Fishery3

M G Kailis - 23 kilometres south of Exmouth on the Exmouth Minilya Road.
Commenced operations in 1973. Employs 80 onshore staff with another 50 working the boats. Twelve trawlers operate from Kailis during the season which runs from March through to November. Approximately 800,000 to 1,000,000 kilograms of prawns are caught annually for the export market by Kailis boats.

McLeod Street

6 kilometres south of Exmouth on the Exmouth/Minilya Road.
Rock fishing on incoming/high tide. Suitable 4 x 2 vehicles. Good swimming.
