The Exmouth Shire in an effort to maintain fair and just governing of the locality of the Shire of Exmouth have empowered the following Local Laws, Policies, Inventories and Management Plans.

The Local Laws adopted are Cemeteries, Dogs, Property, Standing Orders, Trading in Public Places and Thoroughfares, Health, Fencing, Parking, Swimming Pools, Cat Control and Signs. Amendments to Local Laws following resolution of Council are posted for public comment prior to adoption and gazettal.

The Policies / Inventories adopted by Council are many and are listed in Councils Policy Manual. The Policy Manual is amended from time to time by a resolution of Council. Council has a Municipal Heritage Inventory which lists property and places of historical interest in our locality and these are registered with the Heritage Council of Western Australia.
